Female horseshoe crab

This is a photo of the underside of a female horseshoe crab. In the picture on the left you can see the back pusher foot that the crab uses to push itself along the bottom or on land when they come ashore to lay their eggs.

You can also see the front appendages and see that they are identical to the other pincers indicating that this indeed a female horseshoe crab.  There is a photo of a male horseshoe crab to show you how their front pincers are different.
