Here is a video showing some of the Horseshoe Crab shells that I’ve collected from the small islands that are scattered throughout Mosquito Lagoon here in Titusville Florida.
This is an ideal place for horseshoe crabs. There is miles and miles of shallow water lagoons with brine water from the ocean. You can’t go anywhere here without seeing horseshoe crabs or the molts that they leave behind.
They mate pretty much year round here, unlike the horseshoe crabs up in the Delaware Bay area. There is definitely no shortage of them here.
